chairs are acceptable. No Barcaloungers, recliners, sofas, love seats, etc...

Yes - Upon Approval, you can bring a GAME SERVER - NO FILE SERVERS ALLOWED.
A $10.00 fee will apply per server. Also, due to power restrictions, your

Telnet, etc.) No monitor will be allowed for servers. Contact
Us for approval.
Food
There's a McDonald's and Boston Market 3 blocks away (5 minute walk), Mexican
and Chinese food about 10 minutes away. If you get hungry late at night,
you can go to Safeway (across the street from McDonalds) and get a pre-made

Can we bring our own food/drink?
Yes. You can bring food for YOURSELF. Please don't bring excessive amounts
that clutter up your area.
No. No alcohol is permitted in the LAN or in the parking lot. Anyone found
to be intoxicated may be removed from the LAN.
Smoking is not allowed in the building.
No, No, and NO! Anyone found to be in posession of controlled substances will
be asked to leave immediately.
Network Information
Can I bring network equipment to the LAN?
No. Please do not bring hubs, switches, routers, repeaters, or any other network
equipment to plug into the network. All ports for plugging your single PC into
the network are supplied at the table and no additional hardware other than
an RJ45 Category 5/5e/6 cable and appropriate NIC card are necessary. If you
have a server system that you would like to hook into the network, please contact
us for approval first.
How should my PC be set up?
We use DHCP to distribute IPs to each computer. You should configure your computer's
TCP/IP settings to "Obtain automatically from the network" (Windows) or "Use
DHCP" (Mac OS X) If you are still unsure what setting to use, our helpful
staff will be able get you setup.
What type of Network Connection will I have?
The LAN will provide a mix of 100Mbps and 1,000Mbps ports. Gigabit ports are
provided on a first-come first-served basis.
How long of an ethernet cable should I bring?
We recommend bringing at least a 25 foot ethernet cable - Just in case. If
you forget your ethernet cable, you can buy one for $5.00 at the LAN.
Can I have 2 ethernet Jacks?
You would have to buy 2 seats to receive 2 ethernet jacks. We are not
providing any type of NIC teaming support at this time.
Power
Are there any Power Restrictions?
We plan our power distribution in advance. 550 Watts is the MAXIMUM we will allow
per person. This is enough for a computer and monitor, but nothing else.
My power supply is rated higher than 550 Watts. Can I still attend?
Most likely. The 550 Watt limit is based on actual power usage. A
1000 watt power supply does not necessarily consume 1000 watts of power. Power
consumption is based on the components in your computer. If you are not
sure whether your computer is using more than 550 Watts, contact us and let
us know what brand/model components you have in your computer (motherboard,
RAM, CPU, video card, hard drive, CD/DVD drives, etc...) and we'll figure it
out.
NO! UPSs take a significant amount of power and will trip the circuit you're
on.
Tournament Winners How do I claim my free entry? Tournament winners automatically gain free entry. You should be listed on the Registered Gamers list and be marked paid. If you or your team are not listed, contact us.
Can I give my free entry ticket to a friend? No. Free entry offers are Non-Transferrable.
